Job Information

My client, based in Central London, are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join their team. Reporting directly to the Financial Director, this role is responsible for providing support to the accounts department with general administration tasks in order to assist in maintaining an efficient and accurate finance function within the business.

Main Duties:

• Purchase ledgers (payments, statement reconciliation, invoice processing);
• Month end processes (accruals & prepayments, inter-company accounts);
• Sales Ledger - raising of invoices and credit control;
• Cash and bank management (petty cash processing, daily posting of bank receipt and payments, bank reconciliation, cash management, payment set-up (CHAPS/BACS ETC);
• Payroll (including, holiday calculations, PAYE payments, PAYE reconciliation, on-line filing, wages control accounts);
• General HMRC duties and VAT returns;
• Ad-hoc duties as and when requested.

Key Skills:

• At least 2 years` experience within a similar role within financial services;
• Educated to A Level standard and AAT qualified / Starting ACCA (Preferable);
• PC literate and an expert user of MS Office;
• Previous experience of using Sage (preferable);
• Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills;
• Be self-motivated, dedicated, driven, confident and a team player;
• Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
