Cameron James is delighted to be assisting a leading Darlington based organisation in recruiting for an Insurance Underwriter.

Our client, a leading provider of building and insurance solutions to the construction industry is seeking an experienced Insurance Professional with a strong understanding of the principles underpinning commercial insurance products. As the particular product they specialise is involved in a niche area of the insurance industry specific construction industry experience isn`t a prerequisite.

As this role is quite a senior role within the business, in addition to being a strong technical underwriter, previous experience of either leading or mentoring less experienced colleagues would also be beneficial.

Responsibilities:

Key competencies:

· An understanding of FCA requirements
· Currently hold or a willingness to work towards achieving CII qualifications
· Previous insurance underwriting experience
