We are working with a growing facilities company and they are recruiting for a HR advisor to join the business.

Working as part of a team of 4 in HR and reporting into the HR Manager, the main focus of the role will be to support the business with advice and guidance, taking the lead on all ER matters. The role will also have heavy involvement with TUPE both In and Out. Candidates will need to have proven experience within ER and be confident managing cases from start to finish. Key duties and responsibilities will include;

• Working in a team of 4 within HR, providing HR support to c1000 employees
• Managing an ER caseload of c20 case per month, including support and advice on day to day matters, through to disciplinary and grievances.
• Supporting managers with complex ER cases and attending site visits and meetings when necessary
• Manager ER cases from advice stage through to resolution including writing letters
• Act as the first point of contact and provide comprehensive HR expertise to Operations Team and staff members in all Employee Relation (ER) matters
• Record all HR activities on the HR tracker and seek guidance from the HR Manager where needed
• Ensure that company HR policies and best practice are followed and in line with Employment / ACAS legislation
• Supporting the HR Manager on TUPE both In and Out
• Assist the HR Manager in developing and promoting HR policies and procedures
• Support recruitment activities ensuring the best individuals are selected
• Keep up to date with developments in Employment Legislation and best practice, to ensure contributions to the development of the HR department`s goals and objectives
• Deliver efficient HR related administration in a timely manner e.g. letter writing, record keeping, filing, documented evidence etc.
• Give support to the Payroll department advising on right to work for potential employees as well as owning the right to work process for existing employees
• Oversee the day to day running of the HR function when the HR Manager is out of the office and report to the HR Director if support or guidance is needed

For this role candidates will need to have proven ER and HR experience at this level and ideally be CIPD Level 3. They will be lots of TUPE work, so it would be advantageous to have TUPE in and out experience, although this is not essential, as training will be given.

Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will be providing advice and guidance to managers across the business, in addition to supporting employees with any queries.
