We are working with an established and growing insurance broker, based in the heart of London City and they are recruiting for an experienced HR Advisor to join the business.

Reporting into the HR Manager / Head of HR the role, the role will encompass all areas of operational HR - including managing ER, Recruitment, L&D and work on HR projects. They are looking for someone who he is keen to take on more responsibility and manage all aspects of HR for the business, so the HR Manager can move into a more strategic position. Key duties and responsibilities will include;

• Reporting into the Head of HR, working as part of a team of 4
• First point of contact and providing a professional HR service to the business on all areas of HR for c200 employees, across 5 locations
• Provide advice and guidance on all ER matters, including coaching and advising managers, dealing with informal and formal cases, leading and follow up on meetings. Including day to day ER matters, performance management and disciplinary
• Up-skilling and training managers on ER matters, including manager workshops, training sessions and coaching
• Review and update HR policies and procedures across the business, including staff handbooks, HR best practice and HR processors
• Offering advice on all HR queries, keeping up to date on Employment law
• Managing and overseeing recruitment, including the apprenticeship scheme
• Full employee life cycle work, including on-boarding and off-boarding
• Overseeing and inputting payroll information - starters, leavers, salary changes, adjustments, bonus payments etc.
• Assisting with HR projects, including updating and implementation of the new HR system
• Supporting the HR Director on TUPE projects
• Supporting junior members of the HR team.

Candidates will need to have proven experience at this level and ideally be CIPD Qualified. Professional services industry experience is preferred - ideally Insurance - or similar sectors such as Financial Services, Banking, Legal or Accountancy firms.

This role would be ideal for an ambitious and experienced HR Advisor, who is looking for a role that they can take on more responsibility and progress within the business.
