Commercial Claims Handler

Salary : Up to £26k DOE
A regional broker in the heart of Leeds is now looking to add an experienced Commercial Claims Handler to their team. Currently all claims are handled by the Account Handlers and Executives, due to current and expected growth, there is now a need for a standalone Claims Team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for looking after claims of all classes of business with no upper limit for the Broker and be in the enviable position of being able to shape how the business approaches claims handling.

Key Responsibilities

• Internal and client facing
• Investigating, handling and managing a wide range of commercial claims
• Building and maintaining relationships across the commercial insurance market - with insurers, solicitors, loss adjusters, surveyors, suppliers -in the interests of clients from a variety of sectors
• Comfortable providing advice and comment (written or face to face) in a legal / commercial claims management context to internal /external professionals

Experience Required

• Likely to have an overall minimum of 2-3 years- within a commercial claim environment-Ideally through a combination of time spent with relevant insurers /solicitors and /or a major Insurance Qualifications are desirable broking house
• Experience of being face to face with Insurers/clients
• Excellent communication skills with a good telephone manner
• A keen interest in progression within Insurance
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
