Cameron James is delighted to be partnering with a highly respected Leeds based Insurance Broker in their search for a Commercial Account Handler.

Our client, who has a long trading history built on offering an exceptional level of client service, is looking for an experienced insurance professional with a strong technical knowledge of all major classes of commercial insurances. Given the diverse nature of this brokerages book of business, you could be assisting a sole trader paying a couple of hundred pounds in premium through to a client who holds a large property portfolio paying well in excess of £400k. As such, no two days working in the business are the same.

As a staunchly independent business run with a real family ethos, you will be treated very much as a valued member of the team and not a number, as can be the case working for larger organisations.

Responsibilities:

• Confirm cover with relevant insurers, process policies and chase up outstanding documentation when required
• Assist in renewal process, preparation of submission and the gathering of information
• Obtain renewal terms for customers and identify potential alternative quotations before producing presentations for account managers to discuss with customers
• Prepare documentation for existing customers in relation to renewals and mid-term adjustments in partnership with management
• Deal with general account queries, and ensure that they are resolved efficiently
• Ensure all customer details are recorded accurately and entered onto the system in a timely fashion
• Deal with Insurer queries in relation to customer policies

Key competencies:

• Previous commercial insurance experience, ideally gained within a broking environment
• Currently, hold or be working towards Cert CII status or above
• Friendly engaging personality with a commitment to offering excellent customer service
• Experience of using the Acturis platform
