We are working with a well-established engineering business and they are recruiting for a Stand Alone HR Generalist to join the business.

This is a Part-Time role - 25 hours per week. This could be done over 3 full days or across 4-5 shorter days (they are flexible on this).

This is a new role and will report into the MD. The role will have full responsibility for the HR function and would provide HR support to c80 employees. In addition to managing all areas of HR for the business, the role would also involve reviewing current HR policies, procedures, handbooks and contracts and bringing these up to date. So lots of scope to stamp your own mark on this role! Key duties and responsibilities will include;

• Reporting into the MD, responsible for all areas of HR for 80 employees
• Responsible for all operational HR duties related to employment law compliance, recruitment and selection,, employee relations, payroll, salaries and benefits administration, equal opportunities compliance and HR reporting
• Managing the recruitment for the business and implementing effecting recruitment processors
• Review and updating of current HR policies, procedures, staff handbooks, contracts and all HR documentation
• Review of current benefits, rewards and salary benchmarking
• Supporting the business and providing advice and guidance on ER matters, including keeping upto date with UK Employment Law
• Dealing with a range of HR queries and updating the HR system
• Implementing a consistent ER process for managers and supporting managers with performance management
• Manage the new starter and on-boarding process
• Overseeing and rolling out Training and the induction process
• Providing HR information to the payroll team and checking employee information
• Working with the Health & Safety manager to ensure HR policies are aligned, including providing effective training on H&S areas
• HR administration and all day to day management of HR

For this role it is essential that candidates have proven HR experience at this level, are CIPD Qualified and are confident working in stand-alone capacity. Ideally candidates will have experience within engineering, manufacturing or similar industry.
