I am currently working with a Global Underwriter with offices across the UK. The Leeds office are now looking for an experienced Claims Handler to join their new team in an already lively and vibrant office.

The claims department aims to be the market leader in the provision of an efficient, cost effective, creative and professional service to their brokers and clients. You will be pro-active and flexible in the handling of claims, whilst also working closely with the underwriting team and brokers.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage your own workload of claims covering varied classes of business but predominantly Employers Liability, Public Liability, Industrial Disease and Property claims
• Build good relationships with brokers and ensure excellent regular communication
• Be able to prioritise workload and have excellent time management skills to manage claims from cradle to grave

Experience Required

• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent written and oral communication
• Have either legal qualifications or will be a claims practitioner with relevant experience including studying towards or having a real desire to study towards CII qualifications
