An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Account Handler to join a very highly regarded Leeds based Commercial Insurance Broker.
Our client, a staunchly independent broker, is seeking an experienced and technically proficient Account Handler to offer back office support to an extensive network of remotely based Appointed Representatives. Given the diversity of business generated by the AR`s, you will ideally be an experienced commercial broker with a wide and in-depth knowledge of the majority of classes of commercial insurance.

Responsibilities:

• To act as the first point of contact to provide Appointed Representatives with the highest level of technical advice and administrative support
• To build and maintain an excellent rapport with both AR, carriers and underwriters
• To take ownership of all tasks and proactively manage priorities and deadlines
• Respond to queries in a timely and accurate manner.
• To provide relevant information to the sales team to ensure sales opportunities are realised.
• To produce and maintain accurate and complete documentation /correspondence.
• Produce high-quality correspondence, using standard templates, writing clearly, concisely and professionally.
• To log all business activity, ensuring revenue is accurately recorded and documented.

Key competencies:

• In-depth knowledge of the commercial broking market.
• 4 years + experience gained in a commercial broking environment
• Ideally, be a minimum of Cert CII qualified
• Experience of using the Acturis trading platform
