£60-£70K PA, Monday - Friday 9am-5pm, Private Medical Insurance, Corporate IT Firm, Central Birmingham.

What will the job entail?

• Developing and implementing Personnel Management initiatives which support our overall business strategy
• Supporting the management of staff relations and interpersonal relationships at all level in the Company
• Bridging management and employee relations by addressing requests, demands, suggestions for improvements, grievances and other issues
• Assisting with the recruitment process, tracking progress, and, where appropriate, the selection of candidates (web portal is Workable; we have a Recruitment Manual and comprehensive recruitment documentation)
• Assisting with the processes for terminating employment
• Assisting in the management of the performance appraisal process
• Ensuring legal compliance in all aspects of human resource management - our wider Company policies, our procedures (especially recruiting, developing, retaining and terminating employment), our documentation and dealing with day-to-day employment issues
• Maintaining an in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of employment law (and liaising, where appropriate, with our employment lawyers)
• Researching market employment metrics
• Ensuring that we implement best HR practices
• Updating our Staff Manual
• Overseeing the introduction of an electronic-based personnel records system
• Maintaining an appropriate `employer brand strategy` on the Company`s website
• Considering compensation and benefits plans which reward individual and group achievement
• Providing regular reports to management covering all matters relating to personnel management.
• There could be a limited amount of travel to London office.

What is the client looking for?

• Solid previous experience in a Senior HR Position, preferably from a corporate background.
• CIPD level 7 Qualified
• Must live within an easy commute of Birmingham City Centre
