CIVIL LITIGATION AND PROPERTY LAWYER

Main Job Role

To provide a comprehensive civil litigation service to our client based at Blackheath.

To advise clients on Landlord and Tenant disputes (commercial and residential), lease enfranchisement, lease extensions, contractual disputes, company disputes, probate disputes etc.

The current fee earner has progressed a caseload of both civil litigation work - a mixed bag of possession cases, contract disputes, debt recovery for companies, contentious probate work with a substantial amount of Landlord and Tenant work (commercial and residential), advising leaseholders and freeholders on lease extensions, right to purchase freeholder and related disputes..

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Lawyer (1 to 3 years). (We will consider unqualified candidates if they have substantial and supported evidence of experience in leasehold and freehold work).



• Ideally we wish to recruit a candidate with experience in Landlord and Tenant disputes (commercial and residential), lease enfranchisement and lease extensions, who has a good knowledge of this area of work and who can also combine this with civil litigation work i.e. other housing, debt, contract/commercial casework.



• ideally require between 1 and 3 year`s experience in civil litigation : relevant areas at our Blackheath Office are property related litigation e.g. Landlord and Tenant disputes (commercial and residential), lease enfranchisement and lease extensions, debt recovery, possession proceedings.



• A commitment to developing a significant part of your practice in Landlord and Tenant disputes (commercial and residential), lease enfranchisement and lease extensions.



• Good organisational skills



• Good client care and client management skills.

Desirable Requirements

• 1 to 3 years experience of. Landlord and Tenant disputes (commercial and residential), lease enfranchisement and lease extensions with experience of advocacy at the Tribunal and County Court.



• Interest in contentious probate.
