We are working with a well-established professional services firm based in Leeds City Centre and they are recruiting for an experienced HR Advisor to join the business ASAP for a 6 month fixed contract.

Reporting into the HR manager and working as part of a HR team of 9, the role is a broad-based generalist role, that will advise and guide managers at an operational level, to ensure business needs are met. Supporting a client group of around 70 employees, the role will involve travel to different sites around 1 day per week. Key duties and responsibilities will include;

• Consulting and coaching managers and staff in person, via phone and email on the full range of people management issues and providing appropriate solutions.
• Supporting the business with recruitment and selection, Induction and probationary periods
• Providing advice, coaching and support on a range of day to day employee relations issues, sickness and absence
• Working with managers on training and development areas
• Advising managers and staff on policy, process, employment law, best practice.
• Monitoring the performance review system and supporting managers in completion of the appraisal process and tackling under-performance.
• Working in conjunction with the Recruitment Specialist progressing candidates from CV shortlisting to interview scheduling, panel interviewing and recruit selection, then delivering induction training.
• Requesting production of new contracts and changes of contract documentation.
• Maintaining HR policies and updating these as requested.

For this role candidates will need to have proven experience within a HR Advisor role and have strong advisory experience. The role will be heavily focused on supporting and coaching managers, so strong interpersonal skills are required.

Ideally candidates will have experience within a professional services environment and be able to demonstrate a confident approach when working with the senor team. Strong HR, Law and best practice is essential.
