Legal Claims Handler

Cheadle, Manchester - Up to £28,000 DOE

Are you currently working within a legal claims insurance role, or perhaps have a background working within the legal or claim sector? Are you looking for a salary of up to £28k? If so this position is for you!

This is a great opportunity to join an expanding legal insurer based in Cheadle, Manchester.

You will join an established team of Legal Claims Handlers who deal with a portfolio of claims from start to finish including both after the event and before the event.

The successful candidate will have experience of dealing in legal issues or claims within the insurance sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivering excellent customer service
• Processing a variety of legal expenses claims for both after the event and before the event
• Provision of legal advice on a variety of legal disputes for individuals, commercial entities and private landlords
• Develop an understanding of the insurers pricing matrix including negotiating premiums

Experience Required

• Prior experience of working within either a legal insurance role or a legal injury role within a solicitor or claims environment
• Self-motivated and is able to work independently whilst remaining a team player
• Have an understanding of Proclaim system software
• Excellent negotiation skills, capable of positively influencing the opinions of customers and fellow professionals through all communication channels
• A ‘can do` attitude with the ability to proactively manage workload and prioritise tasks
