Job Information

A major UK distribution company are looking to recruit a Financial Controller due to ongoing growth. They are privately owned and are the market leaders in their field with a £70 million turnover. Based in beautiful offices in North Yorkshire you will be reporting directly to the Managing Director, and managing a small finance team, you will be responsible for managing the day to day financial activities of the business.

Responsibilities include all aspects of financial management, the preparation of month end accounts, budgeting and forecasting. The Financial Controller will improve and maintain financial controls and systems, identifying and recommending operational efficiencies and improvements to working practices and procedures that will benefit the business.

Management duties will include the development of team members, performance management and sharing of knowledge and expertise to improve the overall efficacy of the team and its processes.

Financial Controller Duties;

• Manage all accounting operations
• Oversee the preparation of the monthly management pack
• Development of the forecasting models (P&L, balance Sheet, cash flow and accounting schedules)
• Monthly/annual reporting and forecasts
• Managing cash flow
• Minimising financial risk
• Financial planning
• Assisting with audit processes
• Contributing to overall financial decisions/strategy
• Supervising & managing finance team

Essential criteria;

• Fully Qualified : ACCA/CIMA/ACA
• Team leadership experience
• Excellent communication/interpersonal skills

Desirable criteria;

• Dealing with foreign currency
• Mergers and Acquisitions Experience
