Marine Account Handler : Hull and Liability

Location : West Sussex : Salary to 35k DOE + Flexible Benefits and Free on site parking

Our clients are specialists within the Marine Hull Markets. Trading for over 50 years they are now looking for an experienced account handler for the Marine : Division. The position is for a candidate who has Hull and Liability experience especial with Commercial Vessels, Passenger and work boats. Our client is not looking for a Marine Cargo Handler

You will be designing insurance programmes and servicing the insurance requirements of:- Shipowners Ship managers Shipbuilders Port Authorities

The position

• Develop a strong relationship with clients, understanding their insurance needs and ensuring that these are fulfilled

• Understand changes in client circumstances to ensure that the cover provided continues to match their needs
• Provide technical, industry and subject matter expertise where required
• Grow existing portfolio by identifying new from existing opportunities

• Retention and Growth

• Working with the Account Executives to ensure that:

• Client retention is maintained
• Cross-sell and up-sell opportunities are fulfilled
• Encourage new business referrals and recommendations from existing clients.
• Undertake renewal market presentations/negotiations and make appropriate recommendations to clients
• Respond quickly and accurately to day to day client service requirements and new business introductions
• Placement Management

• Work closely and maintain working relationships with the market contacts (and the Broking Team) as required

• Ensure compliant processing of contracts as per FCA and contract certainty requirements
• Check policies, market presentations and client documentation as appropriate
