SENIOR PARAPLANNER JOB DESCIPTION
Permanent Full Time Position
Hours: 09:00 to 17:30
Main Areas of Responsibility

• To support Financial Planners in the provision of high-quality technical advice and financial strategy to clients
• To ensure the smooth delivery of excellent client services as per the business process
• To efficiently manage and organise technical tasks and workflows
• Preparation of draft financial plans for prospective and existing clients, and draft recommendations to meet client needs
• Preparation of documentation for client meetings as per the business process
• Servicing of existing clients as per the business process
• Supporting other team members in specialist knowledge areas
• Ensuring business and compliance processes are followed to required timescales
• Keeping up-to-date with current developments in financial services, technical expertise, compliance, financial markets and economic trends
• Drafting of advice within a strict ethical and compliance framework, ensuring that all operations are carried out in accordance with the regulator
• Liaising with all team members for suitability reports to be issued to clients in a timely and efficient manner in line with all ‘Compliance Updates` and the firm`s operational protocols
• Communication with clients (phone calls, meetings etc)

Specific Duties
Preparation and maintenance of client files:
• Check all compliance paperwork is present at the earliest opportunity
• Confirm risk assessment is completed and up-to-date
• Discuss client objectives with Financial Planners
• Identify and obtain information necessary to compile client recommendation/financial cashflow forecasts
• Compile draft net worth statements; income and expenditure statements and financial cashflow forecast and discuss with planner

Preparation of recommendations:

• Undertake research both independent and with the Financial Planner to identify suitable solutions to meet the client`s needs
• Prepare information/comparisons for analysis
• Liaise with client`s legal and tax advisers (where applicable)
• Consider current and future allocation of assets for investment strategy with regard to client risk profile
• Prepare cashflow forecasts as per client`s goals and objectives
• Prepare draft recommendations to be discussed/signed off by Financial Planner
• Prepare carry forward, lifetime allowance, capital gains tax and other technical calculations
• Liaising with product providers and other relevant third parties (and client when necessary)
• Assist with client implementation meetings if required

Client Review:
Core Duties:
• Working closely with Partners and Financial Planners
• Able to request and obtain all necessary information and undertake financial analysis to enable financial reports to be produced in a timely manner
• Process letters of authority, including chasing vital information for various suitability report types
• Liaise with clients and Financial Planners
• Navigate provider websites to produce illustrations and process new business

Ideally you will CII Level 4 or working towards
Your base can be either Leicester or Canary Wharf
