Working in partnership with a local company who supply to the building, plumbing and timber merchant trade, I have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager to lead a busy and successful team. The role will initially be ‘Working from Home’ with the view to splitting your time between home and office, which is based in Leicester.

In this role you will be responsible for both the management and development of the Finance, Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger teams to ensure the accurate and timely provision of financial information and the achievement of section KPIs, together with the delivery of excellent customer service to both customers and suppliers.

As the Finance Manager you will be responsible for:

Ensuring the regular upkeep of all books of prime entry and the accuracy thereof, including:Regular control account reconciliations
Reconciliation of supplier statements
Rebates, accuracy and reporting thereof


Overseeing and reviewing the preparation of management information in an accurate and timely fashion.
The presentation of all information required to fulfil the audit requirements of the company.
Liaison with external and internal auditors.
Working alongside both the Purchase Ledger Manager and Sales manager, ensuring that all KPIs are met and ensure the escalation of any supplier issues, with a focus on aged debt.
Provide monthly analysis and reports.

Essential requirements for this role:

Educated to Degree level or Similar Qualification
Must be exceptionally literate and with excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Accountancy qualification or similar required, or working towards this
Computer literate
Good knowledge of Microsoft based tools



Working hours: 8:30am – 4:30pm Monday to Friday. You will receive a salary of up to £40,000 per annum depending on your experience, along with 20 days holidays plus bank holidays, increasing with service. Company pension scheme after 3 month probation period.
