Job Information
Our client are Britain’s leading supplier of electrical and mechanical tools and machinery, and now have an exciting career opportunity for an experienced hard goods buyer to join the purchasing team at our Epping head office.
You will be responsible for managing your own portfolio of existing ranges sourced mainly from East Asia as well as researching and proposing new products.
Already an experienced international buyer with a proven background in buying for a retail or hard goods business, you must be a skilled negotiator, able to achieve the very best deals from your suppliers.
Duties will include;
• Merchandise Planning
• Purchase Order Management
• Shipping
• Lifestyle Management
• Stock and Sales
• Product Portfolio Management
• Supplier Relationship Management
• Quality Control and Warranty
• Ideally you will have some technical knowledge.
• Product Sourcing and new Product Information
Range reviews, stock and quality maintenance, products certification and compliance should all be activities you have been responsible for.
