Job Information

We are currently partnering with a fantastic business who are looking for an Employee Relations Manager to join their growing team. This is a new role due to expansion of the business where the successful candidate will develop and implement new programs to enhance employee engagement and relations while overseeing the compliance of the companies policies and procedures within regulations.
 
Ideal candidates will have previous experience within both Employee Relations and management.
 
Duties include:
 
  • Providing current and effective employment relations advice to managers based on employment law, expertise and business knowledge
  • Supporting the development of managers in undertaking early stages of formal procedures maintaining a consistent approach to grievances, disciplinaries, capability, absence management and all HR Policies and Procedures
  • Responding to, managing and resolving conflict
  • Main point of contact to guide and advise employees on ER issues
  • Oversee, review and advise on employee grievance and disciplinary processes
  • Supporting the organisational change activity (redundancy and TUPE programmes)
  • Developing and updating people policies in line with legislative requirements, business objectives and culture and value
  • Identify risks and challenges to the employee relationship and reduce risks by evaluating and, where necessary, developing programs, policies and procedures to promote fair and equitable employee relations and business decisions
  • Ensure employment policies and practices comply with relevant employment regulations
  • Monitoring and reporting on formal ER issues and themes and to develop and deliver support and training accordingly
  • To instruct and act on advice from external employment lawyers to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with employment law for the Regulator
  • Stay current with employee relations trends, regulations and legal requirements
