We are working with well-established Education organisation, and they are looking for a Head of HR to join the business ASAP.
 
This role would be ideal for a seasoned HR Professional with proven experience and knowledge of the education industry.
 
Reporting into the Chief People Officer the focus of the role is to lead on the People strategy and the provision of an effective and efficient HR service to the business. This will include and be responsible for the championing EDI, staff engagement and wellbeing. Key duties and responsibilities will include;
 
-Advising and supporting the Senior Leadership and Management Team on strategic matters relating to human resources, including developments in legislation and decisions taken at national level
-Managing the workload and providing effective line management of the HR Team ensuring a highly efficient and outstanding service.
-Support on delivering the People Strategy and all related policies and procedures, which aligns with the colleges strategic plan
-Ensure that Human Resource policies and practice conform to industry legislative and regulatory requirements.
-Support the colleges approach to driving positive culture and organisational development, based on the values and ethos
-Ensure appropriate systems and practice are in place for recruitment, selection, induction and performance management of all staff including volunteers.
-Oversee the induction programme to help ensure all staff settle quickly and a professional and welcoming service is provided at all times
-Responsible for the effective management of all disciplinary, grievance and capability processes, ensuring they are fully compliant with employment legislation.
-Provide accurate and timely Human Resource advice across the full spectrum of HR as well as guidance and leadership across all aspects of employee relations matters including probation reviews, discipline, and grievance -matters.
-Support and encourage the promotion of the staff wellbeing strategy and objectives, working closely with the Wellbeing Strategic Lead to ensure alignment and fit.
-Continuously develop the HR systems to create an effective employee experience by supporting and training staff as necessary in the use of the system; providing Senior Management Team with strategic and intelligent reporting.
-Maintain effective professional links with specialist bodies and college networks.
-Play a key role in ensuring equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI), this will involve working closely with the EDI Strategic Lead to ensure objectives are met

For this role candidates will need to have proven experience at this level, and ideally be CIPD Level 7 Qualified. Ideally candidates will have previous education industry experience.
 
This is a fast-paced role, where you will be expected to provide a professional and high-level HR service to stakeholders. Candidates must be proactive, hold strong communication and interpersonal skills, have proven leadership skills and work to a high level of accuracy.
