Working in partnership with a leading UK manufacturing company based in West Yorkshire we have a very exciting opportunity for an ambitious, qualified Electrical Estimating Technician working in a commercial role. The company are keen to expand their business and this role is a key part of that growth plan, expanding their existing market share and moving into new markets such as EV charging. This role will certainly offer growth and promotion opportunities for the right applicant

The successful candidate will be required to:

• Plan, design and deliver outdoor electrical installations to a range of specifications for street lighting, electrical distribution and EV charging.
• Work with local authority clients and their electrical contractors.
• Analyse initial requirements, read drawings and wiring diagrams, price the project getting cost from component and switchgear suppliers, produce quotations for the electrical enclosures, and ultimately build the electrical panels.
• Design and build wired cabinets to the client provided specification and design new specifications to meet the client brief. Installation on site will be carried out by the client, and whilst meetings may take place on site, no site work is envisaged.

The successful candidate should have:

• Relevant electrical qualifications and be competent, technically strong, able to produce wiring drawings and quotations with good commercial awareness and ability to liaise directly and professionally at all levels
• Good interpersonal and telephone skills as you will be the face of the business to the clients
• Meet clients occasionally, to deliver accurate detailed costings, maintain customer records.
• Be able to liaise with the clients in a professional manner, have good commercial awareness and deliver client projects to a high standard, on time and in budget
• Strong organisational skills as your time will be split between the office and workshop, you should have the ability to prioritise work, be proactive with a high degree of self-motivation and entrepreneurial acumen

Please note:

• Evidence of qualifications and experience of using electrical design software will be required.
• The role is based primarily in Bradford with further travel to visit customer premises.
• The role whilst technical, is part of the sales function and applicants with additional sales or customer facing experience are particularly encouraged.

In return you will receive a salary between £30,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience, 22day annual leave plus bank holidays plus other great company benefits.
