 Insurance Underwriting Executive – Warrington

Salary DOE up to 45k + Benefits Hours: Monday-Friday 37.5 hours per week

Our clients offer a  bespoke specialist insurance products including cycle insurance, motor and household legal expenses, landlord and rent guarantee, cyber cover, and automotive ancillary products, services insurers, brokers and MGA’S nationally as well as managing affinity schemes via full cycle quote and buy web services on line and wholesaling products nationally.

 

They are currently seeking an Underwriting Executive from an insurer, MGA or broker background who can demonstrate that they have knowledge of the arrangements for the accounting of their products as well as being able to communicate and provide management information and bordereau to our capacity providers.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·         Provide assistance to the managing director during renewal of binders

·         Manage policy wordings and IPID’s ensuring legal compliance

·         Help resolve day to day underwriting queries, referrals and validations via telephone and mailboxes

·         Assist in underwriting  audits

·         Maintain and develop relationships with brokers and clients alike

·         Undertake analysis of competitor products and prices to provide accurate information for reporting purposes

·         Preparation and maintenance of spreadsheets for reporting

·         Issuing of documentation

·         Correspondence emails/letters

·         Manually producing documents where necessary

·         Administration of TGSL system

·         Work collaboratively with colleagues and business partners

·         General administrative and underwriting support to the wider underwriting and sales support function     

 

Skills/Attributes:

·         Possess strong organisational skills and excellent time management

·         Ability to work independently and as part of a team

·         Be able to demonstrate clear thought process

·         Manage a high volume of work with conflicting priorities

·         Ability to meet tight deadlines

·         High standard of literacy and numeracy

·         Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

·         Knowledge of Transactor is advantageous
