A Manchester City Centre based Financial Advisers are looking for a File Checker to conduct the pre-sale checking of Pension Transfer Specialist (PTS) advice and suitability reports, assess the advice and ensure high quality standards are maintained.

This role is initailly a 6 month fixed term contract which will go permanent if the significantly increased new business levels are maintained, which is forecasted. Either way the company has assured me that they will do whatever they can to keep good employees wherever possible. 

When successful you will be:

• ·        Reviewing quality of suitability reports predominately across pensions and investments
• ·        Reviewing advice, in particular (but not exclusively) on pension transfers and other pensions with safeguarded benefits in accordance with company guidance and quality framework
• ·        Ensuring Investment reports and suitability letters are in line with company and FCA standards
• ·        Assessing and grading quality of files and providing effective and concise feedback
• ·        Providing weekly reports to the Paraplanner/File Checker Supervisor relating to output, quality concerns and other Management Information as required
• ·        Assisting the Paraplanners as required

To be successful you must hold one of the following approved examinations:

• ·        Fellow or Associate of the Faculty or Institute of Actuaries
• ·        Fellow or Associate by examination of the Pensions Management Institute
• ·        Fellow or Associate (including three pensions-related subjects) of the Chartered Insurance Institute
• ·        Passed G60 / AF3 / AF7  paper of the Advanced Financial Planning Diploma of the Chartered Insurance Institute
• ·        Passed the Pensions paper of the Professional Investment Certificate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers/Institute of Financial Services.
