We are working with a well-respected education organisation and they are looking to recruit an experienced HR Administrator / Officer.
 
The role will report into the HR Manager and involve all aspects of day to day HR administration, in addition to also overseeing Compliance such as GDPR, employee records and compliance checking. This is a busy and varied role and they are looking for candidates who have strong HR administration experience across all generalist HR areas. Key duties and responsibilities will include;
 
-Working as part of a small HR team, reporting into the HR Manager, supporting c300 employees
-Generalist HR administration role encompassing all generalist areas of HR support, including Recruitment, Compliance, On-Boarding and Off-Boarding, Training administration, updating the HR system and dealing with day to day HR queries from employees
-Recruitment Administration - Writing and placing job adverts, maintaining the recruitment database, sorting applications, replying to applicants, forwarding applications, basic vetting etc., organising interviews, Collating interview notes, sending offer and regret letters
-Maintain staff database and associated electronic and paper records, obtaining references for prospective colleagues, providing references for past colleagues.
-Administering and recording colleague and applicant DBS checks and overseas police checks
-Conduct Teacher Regulation Checks for colleagues and applicants, obtaining qualification documentation and recording as appropriate, conducting all relevant compliance checks, right to work in the UK and monitoring time-limited visas
-Organising annual suitability checks, recording data and following up where required.
-Administering absence documentation and recording colleague absences, corresponding to colleagues with regard to absence pay and / or deductions.
-Conducting safeguarding checks and maintaining records of all temps, students, contractors and volunteers.
-On-boarding and induction - Co-ordinate the on-boarding process and induction, Liaising with relevant stakeholders within the school and externally.
-Training Administration - Co-ordinate and update training requests, Arrange training agreements and liaise with relevant stakeholders, Maintain staff database with regard to completed training.
-To attend staff meetings and INSET, as required.
-Be a point of reference throughout the day to all staff regarding HR queries
 
For this role it is essential that candidates have proven HR experience at this level and hold strong HR administration and compliance experience. Candidates will need to have started studying towards the CIPD qualification.
 
It would be advantageous to have experience within education, although candidates from all sectors will be considered should they have the relevant experience.
