Working in partnership with a leading UK & European manufacturing company based in West Yorkshire we have a very exciting opportunity for a Production Controller, with an expansive administrative skillset to join the team. As an expanding business, this role is a key part of that growth plan, expanding their existing market share and moving into new markets.  This role will certainly offer growth and promotion opportunities for the right applicant.

 

To be successful in this role you will:

·        Be highly organised with the ability to prioritise a diverse workload

·        Hold experience in production administration

·        Support production activity and planning

·        Work closely with the Operations Manager in ensuring that business objectives are met

·        Handling shipments and booking transportation

·        Maintain quality standards

·        Be meticulous in your approach to stock control and requirement

·        Liaise closely with the Group Purchasing Manager and have the responsibility for to procure a variety of ad hoc requirements

·        Have proficiency in purchasing and invoicing, with current experience using SAGE or a similar software package that incorporates material resource planning (MRP).

·        Support the Operations Manager in a variety of administrative requirements

·        Be forward thinking, with the ability to implement processes and procedures to support the efficiency of the company

·        Be confident and capable to carry out the role with minimal supervision and support the shop floor when needed

·        Be an integral part of a small successful team, who will be keen and able turn your hand to a variety tasks as and when required

The successful candidate will need:

·        Excellent communication skills both verbally and written

·        Be able to liaise across the team and broader group

·        Strong organisational skills and time management

·        Previous experience in Stock Control and MRP

·        Proficient in SAGE (or similar software)

·        An understanding of production planning

·        Previous experience within a manufacturing environment essential
