A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Warehouse /Operations Manager to join a leading safety and workplace supplier based within the Tottenham area.This is an excellent opportunity where you will lead the operations team by example, to deliver an exceptional customer experience in a fully compliant environment, meeting and exceeding the requirements of your customers and innovative operational management.
Your main areas of responsibility will be:
Customer Focussed & Customer Journey Experience
· All customer orders to be processed accurately aligned to meeting complete requirements & Customer Experience objectives.
· Nurtures good customer relationships.
· Achieves company service excellence KPI's.
· Ensure all staff focus on the customer and meet their needs and requirements.
· Instil a customer service ethic throughout the business.
· Ensure customer service level meets company objectives, through measuring and taking corrective action where necessary.
Leadership
· Leadership of a team of operations and responsibility for site compliance & standards
· Provides support, development and coaching for relevant individuals.
· Familiar with coaching methodologies and comfortable coaching through demonstrating and leading from the front.
· Demonstrates an ability to delegate and recognises the importance of giving time to others.
High Performance
· Sets high expectations for self and the team. Communicates the benefits to all and motivates.
· Seeks out and delivers challenges beyond the routine demands of the job.
· Takes responsibility for developing own ability and ensures the team benefit from relevant, and existing capability development initiatives. Coaches people to improve their skills.
· Is open to change, adapts well and collaborates in its implementation.
Compliance - Health & Safety, Environmental & QMS
· Ensure site is fully compliant in all areas of Health & Safety.
· Chair and contribute to the H&S forum
· Operate department within all companies QMS guidance & follow safe working practices.
To be successful you will need the following skills and experience:
· Ability to develop cost plans to achieve budget, understanding P&L’s.
· Provide regular and ad hoc reports as requested.
· Recognises the need for a vision and establishes short-term goals for the business and team.
· Plans team projects, works effectively identifying goals, timelines and resources needed.
· Ensures team members ‘buy-in’ to the plan and contribute to its development where appropriate.
· Recruit, train, assess and develop staff of the required number and calibre.
· Ability to develop/apply KPI’s to measure and improve operational performance.
· Demonstrates effective team leadership & management
· Demonstrates successful operational experience
In return you will receive a salary of £30 - £35k, plus bonus earnings of up to 50% of the salary and benefits package.
