Our Client is a nationwide, independent financial advice and fund management group who are  seeking to appoint an experienced Paraplanner based in Middleton, Manchester. Hybrid - Office / Homebased

The position would suit an experienced individual who would be required to analyse clients’ needs to the highest level and write client reports. The position requires an awareness of financial markets and strong technical knowledge in Pension Switching and Transfers, and all aspects of working with investment portfolios. The role also involves attending periodic Investment and Pension Committees.

Depending on progress, there may be career progression opportunities to develop into adviser or managerial roles.

The role is challenging, requiring someone who can interact directly with the Management team and staff and provide first class financial advice support to the firm’s advisers. The Paraplanning team provides a pooled resource to approximately 4 - 5 advisers, whose clients are ultra-high net worth individuals and business owners, many with inherited wealth. Experience in using a wide range of software tools, research practices and analysis processes to create financial plans is essential.

Requirements

·         The role requires the individual to be currently QCF Level 4 qualified in Personal Financial Planning with QCF Level 6 underway (support in achieving this level will be provided if required).

• Comprehensive, holistic Financial Planning
• Cash Flow Modelling at a detailed level
• Investment planning, investment management and potentially investment consultancy
• Pensions – pre, at and post retirement
• Pension Switching and Pension Transfers
• Estate and Succession Planning with familiarity of Inheritance Tax mitigation techniques
• Tax-led investments, such as EIS, VCT and Business Relief and, potentially, Structured Capital at Risk Products (SCARPS)
• Protection planning, including for businesses
• Systems
  • Intelligent Office (iO) – Candidate MUST have experience of Intelliflo and ideally be a skilled use

circa £40k (Potential to £45k if Chartered)  + Discretionary Bonus
