We are working with a well-established and growing hospitality business, and they are looking to recruit a Head of L&D ASAP
 
This role would be ideal for an experienced L&D Manager looking for the next step in their career, or a current Head of L&D looking for a new challenge with a growing organisation.
 
This is a hybrid role, where you will manager your own diary - office based c2 days per week
 
The role will report into the HR Director and will be responsible for leading and directing the L&D team (3 people), whilst also working as part of the wider HR team. The focus of the role will be to develop, design and implement an effective L&D strategy into the business, including designing content, implementation and roll out of training programmes and initiatives. Key duties include;
 
-Reporting into the HR Director and leading a team of 3 people within L&D, supporting the business with c1100 employees across multi-sites in the UK
-Responsible for the design and implementation of a comprehensive L&D strategy
-With an effective L&D strategy, enable the business to foster a culture of high performance, unlocking potential, and retaining key talent and meeting business succession needs.
-Design, facilitate and evaluate core training programmes and ensure that the training offer meets the business needs
-Overseeing the design and procurement of learning initiatives, including spearhead the digital learning agenda, manage apprenticeship programs, and provide data-driven insights to senior stakeholders and more.
-Design and develop effective training programmes for the Leadership teams, to include online training, face to face training, coaching, and mentoring
-Review and update the onboarding and induction training programmes
-Liaising with key stakeholders to assess the business needs for Training and then roll out an effective training offering using appropriate resources
-Working with the Leadership of the business to ensure that the training offer meets business needs on an on-going basis
-Create and deliver training programmes for employees, leading on face to face, video training and e-resources
-Drive a culture of learning and knowledge share through development of strategies and plans to evolve training opportunities

For this role it is essential that candidates have proven L&D experience at this level, and have ideally worked within a similar industry - hospitality, Retail, Casual Dining, Leisure, and Tourism etc.
 
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required - both verbal and written, in addition to being pragmatic, confident and have the ability to influence. This is a very fast paced environment, so candidate must be able to adapt to change and work to tight deadlines.
