We are working with an established SME in West London within the Arts and Culture industry, who are looking to recruit an experienced Finance Manager, to join the business ASAP. This is an immediate need, so ideally candidates will be immediate or on a short notice period.This is a hybrid working role – 2 days home and 3 days in the office, plus flexible working times.
Reporting into the COO this is a commercially focused Finance Manager role, which will involve leading and shaping the finance function during an exciting period of growth and transformation. Responsibilities will include overseeing end-end finance operations, financial planning, management accounting, balance sheet reconciliations and supporting with ad-hoc projects.
Key responsibilities and duties include;
-Report and work closely with the COO and Senior Management Team with the ongoing monitoring and development of the company’s finances and budgets.
-Oversee and manage a team of 2 people in finance
-Reports & End of Year Accounts, including preparing all financial reports and commentaries, and manage the Audit process end-to-end and work with them to prepare the end of year accounts with the Auditors.
-Preparation of Management Accounts including variance analysis and commentary.
-Ensure that all transactional postings are in line with their finance policy and Accounting Standards.
-Oversee the team who support with Month-end, including prepayments and accruals Journals, fixed asset register, depreciation and accruals
-Oversee payroll and approve bank payments.
-Statutory Returns & Compliance, including report, make payments and maintain all NI, PAYE, VAT, PRS, FEU and other appropriate statutory records.
-Cashflow & Treasury Management, including Cashflow projections, cash management, managing bank accounts and expenses.
-Tenant billing and recharges
For this role candidates will ideally be part of fully qualified ACCA / ACA or CIMA, hold experience managing the full accounts function for a growing SME and hold strong technical accounting experience
Being commercially aware is essential for this role, plus effective communication and interpersonal skills, as you will be working closely with the senior team.
