Are you an ambitious insurance professional looking to take the next step in your career?

Our client, a leading independent insurance broker in the heart of Leeds, is looking for a talented and motivated SME/Commercial Broker to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in personal lines or a recent apprenticeship who is eager to transition into commercial broking.

What you'll do:

Working closely with senior Account Directors, you'll be instrumental in managing a diverse portfolio of SME and commercial clients. Your day-to-day responsibilities will be varied and engaging, including:

  • Client Management: Serving as the first point of contact for routine inquiries, providing excellent service, and building strong relationships.
  • Administrative Support: Handling the full administrative cycle for accounts, including the issuance of essential documentation like invoices, policy summaries, and certificates.
  • Market Engagement: Assisting in presenting risks to underwriters and negotiating the best possible terms and coverage for clients.
  • Portfolio Growth: Managing your own dedicated book of smaller commercial clients, handling all aspects of the annual insurance cycle from renewal to new business.
  • Sales & Cross-Selling: Identifying and pursuing opportunities to cross-sell other insurance products to existing clients, contributing to the growth of the business.

Who we're looking for:

We're seeking a professional with a solid foundation in the insurance industry.

  • Experience in the Insurance industry
  • Excellent communication and administrative skills are a must, along with the ability to organise your workload and prioritise tasks efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with ACTURIS is a plus but not essential, as full training will be provided.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach is key, as is a keen eye for detail.

This is a brilliant opportunity to advance your career within a supportive and reputable firm. If you're ready to make the move into commercial broking and contribute to a successful team, we want to hear from you.

To apply, please use the provided link, and David Helliwell from Cameron James will be in touch.
