Cameron James Professional Recruitment is delighted to be working in partnership with a forward-thinking, highly IT-driven mortgage brokerage to recruit an experienced Account Manager / Mortgage Case Manager to join its established and growing team in Gateshead, Newcastle.
This is a superb opportunity for a customer-focused Account Manager or Mortgage Case Manager to work closely with an experienced remortgage advisor team, supporting a highly loyal and long-standing client base that has been successfully built and maintained over the past 15 years. The Role – Account Manager / Mortgage Case Manager
Working closely with the Remortgage Advisor Team and reporting directly to the Senior Mortgage Sales Manager, you will play a key role as an Account Manager and Mortgage Case Manager, managing existing client relationships and ensuring a smooth, professional mortgage review and renewal process.
As an Account Manager, you will have full access to the firm’s established and loyal client database. You will proactively contact clients whose mortgages are due to be renewed within the next 3, 6, or 9 months, arranging mortgage review appointments with the remortgage broker team. This role is heavily relationship-led and suited to a proactive Mortgage Case Manager who enjoys client contact, organisation, and coordination.
A key part of this role also involves the professional team of mortgage and protection advisors to convert the leads being generated, increasing the earnings potential. ________________________________________
Key Responsibilities
• Act as a primary Account Manager, managing relationships with existing mortgage clients
• Work as a Mortgage Case Manager, supporting remortgage business from initial contact through to completion
• Proactively contact clients whose mortgages are due to expire within 3, 6, or 9 months
• Arrange mortgage review appointments with the remortgage advisor team
• Ensure appointments are accurately scheduled in broker diaries
• Update and maintain the in-house CRM system with full accuracy
• Ensure appointments proceed as planned and log all new mortgage and protection business written
• Support the after-sales process as a Mortgage Case Manager, ensuring all parties are kept informed throughout the mortgage journey
• Chase outstanding documentation and assist with progressing mortgage applications
• Liaise with Mortgage Advisors, lenders, solicitors, and internal stakeholders
• Report into the Senior Mortgage Sales Manager with insights and updates
• Identify trends and patterns in mortgage and protection business written, supporting management reporting
• Maintain excellent service standards in line with the expectations of a professional Account Manager

Skills & Experience Required
• Previous experience as an Account Manager, Mortgage Case Manager, Mortgage Administrator, or within a customer-facing financial services role
• Mortgage or financial services experience is advantageous but not essential
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Highly organised with strong time management and diary coordination abilities
• Confident using CRM systems and IT platforms
• Ability to analyse trends and report on business activity
• Comfortable working as part of a collaborative, target-driven team
• Professional, proactive, and detail-oriented approach
