Role Overview – Manchester City Centre & Salford Quays (Hybrid Mortgage Advisor Role)

This is a true Hybrid Mortgage Advisor position based in the vibrant Manchester City Centre, with additional lead flow from Salford Quays and other major Manchester branches. Initially, you will be required to be office-based 3–4 days per week to build strong working relationships, embed yourself within the sales teams, and maximise opportunity. Hybrid flexibility increases once rapport and performance are established.

As a Mortgage Broker, you will benefit from a constant stream of business generated by a busy estate agency network operating in the heart of Manchester’s luxury apartment and city-living market.

• Average property values: £220,000+

• Properties up to: £600,000 (luxury flats & apartments)

• Average case size: Circa £1,800

• Mortgage appointments: 20–25 per month

• Mortgage sign-ups: 8–10 per month

• Protection conversion: 70%+

An experienced Mortgage Advisor working in the buzz of Manchester City Centre should realistically be banking £180,000+ per annum in proc fees, broker fees and protection income, translating into high earnings comfortably exceeding £75,000.

In addition to Manchester City Centre leads, the Mortgage Broker will also receive high-quality business from Salford Quays and multiple high-performing estate agency offices across Greater Manchester.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate as a Mortgage Advisor working on a hybrid basis across Manchester City Centre & Salford Quays

• Deliver whole-of-market mortgage and protection advice as a Mortgage Broker

• Conduct face-to-face, telephone, and virtual appointments in a fast-paced city environment

• Convert 5–8 qualified estate-agency-generated leads per week

• Consistently sign up 8–10 mortgages per month

• Manage and grow a substantial mortgage desk with long-term high earnings focus

• Build strong relationships with branch managers, sales negotiators, and introducers

• Maintain FCA-compliant advice standards and excellent client outcomes

• Effectively manage pipeline to drive sustained performance and high earnings

Employed Mortgage Advisor Option

• Basic salary up to £35,000 (including car allowance)

• Monthly bonuses and uncapped commission

Skills & Experience Required

• Fully CeMAP qualified (or equivalent)

• Competent Adviser Status (CAS)

• Proven track record as a Mortgage Advisor or Mortgage Broker

• Estate agency or introducer-led background preferred

• Strong knowledge of residential mortgages and protection

• Commercially driven, target-focused mindset

• Confident operating in a fast-paced city-centre environment

• Professional, personable, and client-focused

• Clean regulatory and credit history

• Living within a commutable distance of Manchester City Centre
