Cameron James Professional Recruitment is delighted to be working in partnership with a highly successful and well-established mortgage brokerage that is now seeking an experienced Mortgage Sales Manager / Mortgage Manager to lead, develop, and inspire a team of fully CeMAP-qualified mortgage brokers across Surrey.

The Role – Mortgage Sales Manager / Mortgage Manager

As a Mortgage Sales Manager, you will take full responsibility for the performance, productivity, and professional development of an established team of experienced, fully CeMAP-qualified Mortgage Brokers. You will operate in a hybrid capacity, working remotely while travelling to key estate agency and introducer partner branches across Surrey two days per week.

This role combines people management, sales leadership, introducer relationship management, compliance oversight, and business development. You will play a key role in scaling mortgage sales output, increasing protection penetration, and delivering high earnings through strong leadership and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Team Management

• Lead, supervise, motivate, and inspire a team of fully CeMAP-qualified Mortgage Advisors and Mortgage Brokers.

• Act as a hands-on Mortgage Sales Manager driving written business, banked income, protection penetration, and conversion rates.

• Conduct regular 1-to-1s, performance reviews, and team meetings to track KPIs, productivity, and adviser output.

• Provide real-time coaching, mentoring, and sales training to maximise adviser performance and career development.

• Monitor case sizes, lead conversion, and protection cross-sales to deliver consistent high earnings.

Introducer & Account Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with estate agency branches, introducers, and referral partners across Surrey.

• Attend branch meetings in Guildford, Woking, Reigate, Redhill, Epsom, Leatherhead, Weybridge, Staines, Camberley, Farnham, and surrounding towns.

• Deliver introducer reporting, performance feedback, and sales insight to strengthen partnerships.

• Develop strategic plans to improve lead quality, branch engagement, and adviser integration.

Compliance & Operational Oversight

• Ensure all Mortgage Advisors operate in line with FCA compliance standards and internal policies.

• Work closely with Protection Support Managers and Sales Development teams to optimise sales outcomes.

• Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new Mortgage Advisors.

• Oversee lead management processes and ensure timely client follow-ups and completions.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven background as a successful Mortgage Advisor, Senior Mortgage Broker, Mortgage Team Leader, or Mortgage Manager.

• Demonstrable leadership experience supervising and motivating a team of Mortgage Advisors.

• Fully CeMAP qualified (CeMAP 1, 2 & 3 essential).

• Strong sales management experience within mortgage sales and financial services.

• Excellent relationship-building skills with estate agency and introducer partners.

• Solid understanding of FCA compliance, mortgage regulation, and sales governance.

• Commercially driven mindset with a passion for high earnings and team performance.

• Willingness to travel across Surrey twice per week.
