The Role – Protection Account Manager / Protection Case Manager – Gateshead
Working closely with the Protection Advisor team and reporting directly to the Senior Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role as both a Protection Account Manager and Protection Case Manager, managing client relationships and overseeing the end-to-end flow of protection business.
As a Protection Account Manager in Gateshead, you will have full access to all new protection enquiries generated from a high volume of internal mortgage referrals, as well as from estate agents, new build developers, web leads and professional introducers. Every protection lead is logged through a state-of-the-art CRM platform, allowing you to analyse source, performance and conversion, ensuring maximum opportunity for high earnings.
Mortgage Brokers will conduct the initial mortgage advice and refer protection business to the Protection team. As the Protection Account Manager, you will ensure that each internal protection lead is acted upon immediately, with all activity recorded accurately on the CRM system. You will analyse client engagement, log outcomes, and ensure no protection opportunity is missed.
As a Protection Case Manager, you will ensure that all protection enquiries are distributed promptly to the appropriate Protection Broker and that full, accurate notes are maintained on the CRM system, ensuring transparency, accountability and data-driven performance management.
This role sits at the heart of the Protection Advisor team, directly influencing client experience, conversion rates and ultimately the firm’s high earnings capability.

Key Responsibilities – Protection Account Manager / Protection Case Manager
As a Protection Account Manager and Protection Case Manager based in Gateshead, your responsibilities will include:
• Acting as the primary Protection Account Manager, managing and nurturing relationships with protection clients
• Operating as a Protection Case Manager, supporting protection business from initial enquiry through to completion
• Reviewing all protection leads received from in-house Mortgage Brokers
• Ensuring every protection lead is allocated and contacted promptly by the Protection Broker team
• Maintaining full accuracy within the CRM system, ensuring all updates and notes are logged
• Liaising with Protection Brokers to ensure every enquiry is followed up and progressed
• Coordinating broker diaries and appointment scheduling
• Supporting the after-sales mortgage and protection process
• Chasing outstanding documentation and progressing protection applications
• Producing performance insights and reports for Senior Management
• Identifying trends in protection conversions and business written
• Maintaining service excellence in line with a professional Protection Account Manager function

Skills & Experience Required – Protection Account Manager / Protection Case Manager

• Previous experience as a Protection Account Manager, Protection Case Manager, Protection Administrator or Protection Advisor
• Strong exposure to mortgage and/or protection within financial services
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills
