The Role – Surrey & Sussex

As a senior Mortgage Sales Manager, you will take responsibility for leading, developing and inspiring a high-performing team of employed and self-employed Mortgage and Protection Advisors embedded within multiple estate agency offices throughout Surrey & Sussex.

You will act as the regional Mortgage Manager across a large geographical area covering major towns and cities including Guildford, Woking, Reigate, Redhill, Epsom, Weybridge, Staines-upon-Thames, Crawley, Horsham, Brighton, Worthing, Chichester and surrounding locations.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Leading, coaching and developing a team of Mortgage and Protection Advisors across multiple branches

• Acting as a hands-on sales leader and operational Mortgage Manager for your region

• Conducting regular performance reviews, one-to-ones and development plans

• Driving mortgage and protection penetration, conversion and completion performance

• Implementing and delivering regional sales strategies aligned with company objectives

• Supporting advisers to maximise productivity, case quality and client outcomes

• Working closely with estate agency Area Directors, Branch Managers and senior stakeholders

• Building strong internal relationships to embed a financial-services-led culture

• Ensuring adherence to FCA regulations, compliance processes and quality standards

• Managing underperformance and driving continuous improvement

• Analysing MI, performance metrics, lead sources and pipeline activity

• Producing reports and insight on adviser performance and regional results

• Acting as an ambassador for the brand across Surrey & Sussex

About You

We are seeking a credible, driven and influential Mortgage Manager who can demonstrate:

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience within mortgage sales, financial services or estate-agency-linked mortgage environments

• Proven experience in a leadership role such as Mortgage Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager, Area Mortgage Manager or similar

• CeMAP qualification (essential). CF1 and CF6 highly desirable

• A strong track record of building and managing successful adviser teams

• Detailed knowledge of the UK mortgage market, lender criteria and protection propositions

• Strong understanding of FCA regulation, compliance and quality assurance

• Excellent communication, coaching and motivational skills

• The ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders and branch leadership teams

• Strong commercial acumen and performance management capability

• A structured and data-driven approach to sales leadership and forecasting

• The ability to inspire advisers to achieve exceptional performance and high earnings outcomes

• High levels of professionalism, integrity and customer focus

• A confident, articulate and credible leadership presence

• The ability to commute effectively across Surrey & Sussex
