The Role – Hybrid Mortgage Advisor / Hybrid Mortgage Broker

As a hybrid mortgage advisor or hybrid mortgage broker, you will operate within a flexible hybrid model, spending three days per week working from a successful estate agency office in Shrewsbury, while the remaining time can be worked remotely from home.

You will work closely with estate agency sales negotiators and branch managers who generate 7–10 quality mortgage leads per week, ensuring a steady flow of client appointments and excellent opportunities to generate high earnings.

As a hybrid mortgage advisor, you will provide expert whole-of-market mortgage advice, covering residential mortgages, remortgages, buy-to-let mortgages, and associated protection products such as life insurance, critical illness cover, and income protection.

With the support of a dedicated mortgage administration and compliance team, the hybrid mortgage broker will be able to focus on client interaction, building strong relationships, and converting leads into completed mortgage cases and protection policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Work as a hybrid mortgage advisor / hybrid mortgage broker within a hybrid working environment

• Spend three days per week within a busy estate agency branch in Shrewsbury and the remaining days working remotely

• Provide expert whole-of-market mortgage advice to homebuyers and property investors

• Offer suitable protection solutions including life insurance, income protection, and critical illness cover

• Manage and convert 7–10 estate agency mortgage leads per week

• Contact new leads promptly to maximise appointment conversion rates

• Build strong relationships with estate agency staff including sales negotiators and branch managers

• Submit mortgage applications and ensure full FCA compliance throughout the mortgage process

• Liaise with lenders, solicitors, clients, and surveyors throughout the application journey

• Deliver exceptional customer service and work towards achieving high earnings through strong sales performance

Candidate Requirements

To be considered for this hybrid mortgage advisor / hybrid mortgage broker role in Shrewsbury, candidates must possess:

• CeMAP qualification (or equivalent) – essential

• Previous experience as a Mortgage Advisor, Mortgage Broker, Hybrid Mortgage Advisor or Hybrid Mortgage Broker

• CAS status preferred, although returning mortgage advisors will also be considered

• Excellent sales, communication, and client relationship skills

• Strong organisational and IT skills

• The ability to deliver outstanding client service both face-to-face and remotely

• Clean credit history and a full UK driving licence
