Structured Career Path – From Entry Level to Mortgage Advisor

This role offers a clear and proven progression route into a successful career:

Stage 1 – First 6 Months

• Join as part of the Client Services team 

• Handle incoming enquiries and book mortgage appointments 

• Develop knowledge of the mortgage process and customer journey 

Stage 2 – After Successful Probation

• Enrol onto the Trainee Mortgage Broker training programme 

• Study for CeMAP 1 (fully funded) 

Stage 3 – After Passing CeMAP 1

Progress into a Trainee Mortgage Advisor / Trainee Mortgage Broker role, including:

• 3-week fully expensed residential training academy 

• Ongoing support from a dedicated Mortgage Sales Manager 

• Continuous development from a specialist training and development team 

• Clear pathway to becoming a fully qualified Mortgage Advisor / Mortgage Broker

Role Overview – Trainee Mortgage Advisor / Trainee Mortgage Broker (Client Services)

Based in Crewe, you will work in a professional office environment, speaking with new and existing clients regarding mortgage enquiries and booking appointments for in-house advisors.

This is a quality-focused telephone-based role, not a high-volume call centre, with approximately 50 calls per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Contact and manage all new mortgage leads provided 

• Pre-qualify customers and assess mortgage suitability 

• Book appointments for Mortgage Advisors and Protection Advisors 

• Contact existing clients approaching renewal (6–12 months) 

• Manage diaries using Outlook and internal CRM systems 

• Maintain accurate client records and notes 

• Build strong working relationships with advisors and internal teams 

• Maximise opportunities from warm, qualified leads 

• Deliver exceptional customer service at all times 

• Work towards agreed appointment and performance targets 

• Develop knowledge to progress into a Trainee Mortgage Advisor role

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for individuals who:

• Have strong communication and customer service skills 

• Are confident and professional on the telephone 

• Are target-driven and motivated by earning potential 

• Have a genuine interest in becoming a Trainee Mortgage Advisor / Mortgage Broker 

• Are keen to gain CeMAP qualifications (fully funded) 

• Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn 

• Work well both independently and as part of a team 

Previous experience in sales, customer service, telesales, retail, or financial services would be advantageous but is not essential.
