Role Overview – Mortgage Advisor / Mortgage Broker

As a Mortgage Advisor / Mortgage Broker based in Congleton, you will work closely with a busy estate agency team, benefiting from consistent, high-quality leads and a strong referral network.

You will receive:

• 8–10 qualified mortgage leads per week 

• Opportunity to write 2–3 mortgage applications weekly 

• Access to an established client database 

• Average case sizes supporting strong commission earnings 

This environment enables a proactive Mortgage Advisor / Mortgage Broker to consistently achieve high earnings and develop a high-performing mortgage desk.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver whole-of-market advice as a Mortgage Advisor / Mortgage Broker 

• Conduct full fact-finds, affordability assessments, and tailored recommendations 

• Advise on residential mortgages and protection products including life insurance, critical illness, and income protection 

• Convert estate agency leads into completed mortgage business 

• Build strong relationships with clients, introducers, and estate agency staff 

• Identify remortgage and cross-selling opportunities within the existing client base 

• Manage pipeline from enquiry through to completion 

• Maintain FCA-compliant advice standards and deliver excellent client outcomes 

• Achieve agreed KPIs and maximise high earnings potential

Skills & Experience Required

• Fully qualified Mortgage Advisor / Mortgage Broker (CeMAP or equivalent) 

• Proven experience in a mortgage advisory role (estate agency, banking, or independent) 

• Strong knowledge of residential mortgages and protection products 

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills 

• Target-driven, ambitious, and motivated by high earnings 

• CAS status desirable but not essential 

• Clean credit history and full UK driving licence required
