Overview – Trainee Mortgage Advisor / Trainee Mortgage Broker (HNW Clients)

Working within this highly respected and professional mortgage broker firm in Mayfair, you will receive industry-leading training and development. As a Trainee Mortgage Advisor / Trainee Mortgage Broker, your initial focus will be on passing your CeMAP 1 qualification while gaining practical, hands-on experience.

You will work closely with experienced HNW mortgage brokers, shadowing client meetings, listening to calls, and supporting the full mortgage process through administration duties. This structured approach ensures you fully understand the lifecycle of a mortgage application before progressing into a fully qualified Trainee Mortgage Broker role.

Key Responsibilities

• Focus on passing CeMAP 1, with full financial and professional support provided 

• Shadow experienced mortgage brokers and learn the role of a Trainee Mortgage Advisor / Trainee Mortgage Broker 

• Listen to client calls and attend meetings to understand HNW client requirements 

• Carry out mortgage administration, ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant 

• Submit mortgage applications and liaise with lenders 

• Progress into a fully qualified Trainee Mortgage Broker after completing CeMAP 

• Conduct client meetings in the Mayfair office and via telephone/Teams/Zoom 

• Convert leads into business, achieving 2–3 mortgage completions per week 

• Handle average loan sizes of £420,000 and case values circa £1,800 

• Refer protection business and earn 40% API, enhancing high earnings 

• Maintain the highest levels of professionalism at all times in a Mayfair client-facing environment
