We are seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented Accounts 
Semi-Senior to join our client's growing practice team. The successful candidate will work with a varied portfolio of clients, supporting the preparation of accounts and providing high-quality service to businesses across multiple sectors.
 

This role is ideal for someone with accountancy practice experience who is studying towards a professional qualification and looking to progress their career within a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
 

-Prepare statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies

-Assist with the preparation of management accounts and VAT returns

-Support senior staff with client assignments and year-end accounts preparation

-Liaise directly with clients to obtain records and resolve queries

-Maintain accurate working papers and ensure compliance with accounting standards

-Assist with bookkeeping and cloud accounting support where required

-Prepare corporation tax computations and related schedules

-Meet deadlines and manage workload effectively across multiple assignments

-Support and collaborate with junior team members when required
 

Requirements
 

-Previous experience within an accountancy practice

-Good understanding of accounts preparation and bookkeeping principles

-Studying towards or part-qualified ACA or ACCA

-Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

-Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

-Ability to work independently and as part of a team

-Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
 

Desirable Skills
 

-Experience using software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or Iris

-Exposure to management accounts and VAT compliance

-Knowledge of cloud-based accounting systems
