My client is a well established services based company within the automotive industry and they are looking to recruit an experienced Assistant Accountant to join the business immediately.

The role will be an initial 9 month contract, with a view of going permanent after this time.

Reporting into the Finance manager the role will be a varied and hands on position , involved with all aspects of accounting for the subsidiaries. Key duties and responsibilities will include;

�Monthly management accounting and financial reporting for 2 subsidiaries
�Preparing cost reports, including actual against budget, variance analysis and performance per department ect
�Budget reporting and forecasting
�Maintenance of Fixed Assets
�Reconciling multiple bank accounts- dealing with foreign currencies
�Prepare VAT Returns
�Accruals and prepayments
�Maintaining purchase ledger

For this role it is essential that candidates have strong technical experience and understanding of double entry book-keeping.

Candidates will need to have strong system skills- MS Excel and have ideally used SUN or MS Dynamics.

This is an immediate need so candidates will need to be either immediately available, or on 1 weeks notice.
