My client is a well established services based company within the automotive industry and they are looking to recruit an experienced Assistant Accountant to join the business immediately.

The role will be an initial 9 month contract, with a view of going permanent after this time.

Reporting into the Finance manager the role will be a varied and hands on position , involved with all aspects of accounting for the subsidiaries. Key duties and responsibilities will include;

•Monthly management accounting and financial reporting for 2 subsidiaries
•Preparing cost reports, including actual against budget, variance analysis and performance per department ect
•Budget reporting and forecasting
•Maintenance of Fixed Assets
•Reconciling multiple bank accounts- dealing with foreign currencies
•Prepare VAT Returns
•Accruals and prepayments
•Maintaining purchase ledger

For this role it is essential that candidates have strong technical experience and understanding of double entry book-keeping.

Candidates will need to have strong system skills- MS Excel and have ideally used SUN or MS Dynamics.

This is an immediate need so candidates will need to be either immediately available, or on 1 weeks notice.
