This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Mortgage Trainer, Mortgage Performance & Development Manager, Area Mortgage Manager, Senior Mortgage Advisor, Financial Services Trainer, Mortgage Development Manager, T&C Supervisor or Mortgage Sales Coach to play a pivotal role in developing, coaching and inspiring a successful network of Mortgage Advisors.

The Opportunity

As a Mortgage Performance & Development Manager, you will be responsible for supporting Mortgage Advisors throughout every stage of their journey, from onboarding new recruits through to coaching experienced advisors to maximise both mortgage and protection performance.

 

Working closely with senior leadership, Area Mortgage Managers and compliance teams, you will ensure advisors operate within FCA and T&C requirements whilst continually improving sales performance, customer outcomes and overall business success.

 

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys developing people, improving performance and helping Mortgage Advisors reach their full earning potential.

Key Responsibilities

As the successful Mortgage Performance & Development Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering structured onboarding and induction programmes for newly recruited Mortgage Advisors.

• Acting as a dedicated Mortgage Trainer, coaching advisors on mortgage sales, protection advice, customer service and business development.

• Supporting experienced Mortgage Advisors to increase productivity, improve conversion rates and maximise revenue.

• Delivering one-to-one coaching sessions, field observations and structured development plans.

• Conducting regular KPI reviews, competency assessments and performance reviews.

• Supporting advisors with Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

• Working within an FCA compliant Training & Competency (T&C) framework.

• Helping advisors improve mortgage quality, protection penetration and customer outcomes.

• Supporting branch integration of new Mortgage Advisors.

• Identifying development opportunities across multiple branches.

• Producing management reports, performance analysis and development recommendations.

• Sharing best practice across the Financial Services division.

• Working closely with senior leadership to improve advisor performance and business growth.

• Travelling throughout Surrey, Sussex & Hampshire supporting branch-based Mortgage Advisors.

You will also possess:

• CeMAP qualified (or equivalent).

• Strong understanding of FCA regulation and T&C requirements.

• Previous experience coaching or developing Mortgage Advisors.

• Excellent leadership and mentoring skills.

• Outstanding communication and relationship-building ability.

• Strong organisational and planning skills.

• Commercial awareness with the ability to improve advisor performance.

• Passion for developing people.

• Full UK driving licence.

• Willingness to travel throughout Surrey, Sussex & Hampshire.
