Job Information

Our client is an established, client-centred financial planning firm based in the City of London. They help individuals, families and business owners envision their ideal future lifestyle and build the financial roadmap to get them there.

As a Paraplanner, you will be a central part of clients, working alongside a Financial Planner and a Client Services Administrator to deliver outstanding financial planning to a defined client bank. You will take ownership of the technical research, analysis and report-writing that underpins every piece of advice they give, while building meaningful relationships with clients.
This is not a back-office support role. You will attend client meetings, contribute to planning strategy discussions, and play a key part in shaping the advice our clients receive. If you are looking for a role where you can develop your technical expertise, deepen your client skills, and genuinely influence outcomes, this is it.

Qualifications and Experience:

Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (CII or equivalent); RO1–RO6 preferred

Minimum 3–4 years’ experience in a paraplanning or associate planner role within a UK financial planning firm

Solid working knowledge of pensions, investments, tax planning, protection and estate planning

Actively working towards or willing to commit to Chartered Financial Planner status (Level 6) or equivalent advanced qualifications such as the CISI Diploma

Familiarity with cashflow modelling tools (e.g. Voyant, Truth, CashCalc) is a strong advantage

Responsibilities:

Attend and actively contribute to client meetings, taking detailed notes and capturing action points

Build rapport with clients and develop a deep understanding of their personal circumstances, motivations and financial goals

Serve as a knowledgeable point of contact for clients between meetings, handling technical queries with confidence

Conduct thorough research across pensions, investments, protection, tax and estate planning to identify suitable solutions

Analyse client portfolios, risk profiles and cash flow projections to support the Planner’s recommendations

Prepare high-quality suitability reports, annual review packs and ad-hoc advice documents that are clear, compliant and client-friendly

Produce and maintain accurate cash flow models using the firm’s planning software

Competitive salary and excellent Benefits

Hybrid and flexible working.
