BDM Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting an experienced Mortgage Advisor / Mortgage Broker for one of West Yorkshire’s most reputable and established estate agency businesses.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, fully qualified Mortgage Advisor seeking a genuine hybrid working role offering flexibility, autonomy, quality mortgage leads and excellent earning potential.

The successful Mortgage Advisor / Mortgage Broker will have the flexibility to work from home while visiting the Colne Valley branch approximately 3 times per week, allowing you to manage your own diary and enjoy a genuine hybrid working environment.

There is no unnecessary micromanagement. You will be trusted to manage your workload, appointments and clients while benefiting from the support, leads and infrastructure of an established business.

The Opportunity

You will service a busy and vibrant estate agency office in Colne Valley, receiving approximately 7–10 new mortgage leads every week from dedicated introducers.

In addition, an experienced telemarketing team proactively contacts existing and prospective clients, booking remortgage appointments directly into your diary.

You will also have access to an established client database, creating further opportunities for remortgages, product transfers and protection business.

With a combination of estate agency referrals, telemarketing appointments and an existing client bank, you can concentrate on what you do best – providing quality mortgage and protection advice and converting opportunities into business.

Your Hybrid Working Pattern

This position has been designed as a genuine Hybrid Mortgage Advisor role.

You will typically visit the Colne Valley branch 2–3 times per week, with the flexibility to work from home for the remainder of the week.

You will have the autonomy to manage your own diary around your appointments and workload, providing an excellent balance between working remotely and maintaining a presence within the estate agency branch.

The business operates a common-sense approach to flexible working and is focused on results rather than unnecessary supervision.

Role & Responsibilities

As a Hybrid Mortgage Advisor / Mortgage Broker, you will:

• Provide whole-of-market mortgage and protection advice to new and existing clients.

• Work closely with a successful estate agency branch in Colne Valley and maximise referred mortgage opportunities.

• Receive approximately 7–10 new mortgage leads per week.

• Manage pre-booked remortgage appointments generated by the telemarketing team.

• Develop business from an established client database.

• Advise on residential mortgages, remortgages, product transfers and associated protection products.

• Manage your own diary within a flexible hybrid working environment.

• Work from home while attending the Colne Valley branch approximately 2–3 times per week.

• Build strong, long-term relationships with clients and introducers.

• Maintain high standards of compliance and adhere to FCA requirements.

• Work alongside dedicated mortgage administrators who will support you with the application process.

Skills & Experience Required

To be considered, you should:

• Be fully qualified to CeMAP, MAQ or CF1 & CF6 standard.

• Have previous experience working as a Mortgage Advisor, Mortgage Adviser or Mortgage Broker.

• Have experience providing whole-of-market mortgage advice.

• Possess a strong understanding of residential mortgages and protection products.

• Demonstrate a proven ability to convert mortgage leads and build strong client relationships.

• Be comfortable managing your own diary and workload within a hybrid environment.

• Live within approximately a 30-minute drive of Colne Valley to allow regular branch attendance.

• Hold a full UK driving licence.

• Be able to satisfy the required regulatory, credit and background checks.
