Our client is a large international business based in Maidenhead; they are recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join the business on a permanent basis. This varied and exciting role, will report into the Finance Manager and it will include the following duties:

� Maintain fully reconciled ledger control accounts and monitor cash levels.
� Support cash flow modelling for all countries and statutory companies
� Process claim and ad-hoc payments
� Reconcile claim payments with the claims department on a monthly basis
� Post bank account transactions
� Ensure invoices are filed and stored appropriately
� Maintain payments register
� Review and correct if necessary allocations on invoices
� Ensure payments are appropriately authorised in line with the approved authority limits
� Assist in completing month-end and year-end closure
� Resolve any discrepancies in an accurate and timely manner and make adjusting journal entries prior to closure
� Reconcile balance sheet and Profit & Loss (P&L) accounts on a monthly basis including bank reconciliations
� Ensure Control account reconciliations are produced on a timely basis and any outstanding items are investigated and cleared within a reasonable time
� Create necessary accruals, prepayments and other month-end journals in order to report income and commissions accurately
� Support the payroll function for all European countries
� Support the relationships with external payroll providers
� Ensure all payments are recorded and paid correctly in a timely manner
� Reconcile payroll control accounts
� Assist with payroll tax matters including annual filing of payroll and expatriate tax
� Assist with payroll audits

The ideal candidate will be AAT Qualified, PQ stopped studying or Qualified by Experience with a wealth of experience within a similar role. It is important that you are �hands on� and that you have experience of doing a transactional role. You will need to have transaction experience that has grown up through the ledgers SL, PL, cashbook and payroll. You will to be a team player, be driven and enthusiasm.
