BUYER

Our client is one of Europe’s largest manufacturers of white goods; one of their products is currently rejuvenating an entire market place due to efficiency improvements and is currently the number one product choice for consumers, worldwide.

Fundamental to the success of the business is a strong and resourceful purchasing function that delivers commercial value, identifies innovative suppliers and supports the developments of new products.

They are looking to strengthen the Purchasing team by recruiting a high calibre purchasing professional and continuing their commitment to delivering procurement best practise; essentially someone who can contribute through fresh ideas with a determination to achieve results for the business.

As a buyer you will need to:
• Operate at a hands-on and strategic level
• Anticipate market opportunities by working with the supply base to introduce new sources and new technology, sourcing and implementing supply chain efficiency.
• Improve KPI’s and negotiate effectively to achieve continual cost reduction.
• Improve quality and SLA’s
• You will also support new project introduction

We are looking for a dynamic and determined character with previous experience in an electronics, engineering or appliance manufacturing environment. Experience of Purchasing from Eastern Europe and the Far East would be advantageous.

We are looking for an individual with the ambition to progress within the organisation, strong analytical skills and excellent team working abilities are essential.
