My client is seeking to appoint a highly Commercial Group Finance Director into a new role, partnering alongside the COO and CEO in providing strategic support at a successful, ambitious and passionate SME business. This is a newly created position managing the Finance Function and overseeing all of the financial aspects of the company's strategy.

The Finance Director will:

• Partner the CEO and COO in helping to ensure that the business is run commercially and continues to grow through expansion of current business lines and through acquisitions.
• Support all the commercial decision making of the business
• Lead financial due diligence on potential acquisition targets
• Liaison with banks and corporate finance partners
• Provide robust management information to Senior Management
• Have considerable input into the day to day operations and long term strategy of the business
• Oversee a small team in finance, dealing with the management reporting and financial controls
• Oversee the budget and long range planning proposals
• Provide input into key decision making around investments and commercial proposals

Applicants for this role:
• Qualified Accountant
• Experience of the SME Sector
• Ideally have experience within the Sales or Media Sector
• Must either have proven experience in a commercial Finance Director role.
• Will demonstrate excellent leadership and communication skills
• Have strong commercial acumen
• Have extensive senior management experience
• M&A experience would be advantageous
