Job Information

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Commercial Claims Manager to join a reputable insurance broker and oversee a team a 3 established Claims Handlers.

The successful candidate will be managing or be the senior referral point for a competent claims team, dealing with a wide range of commercial claims.

Excellent opportunity to establish yourself as a senior member of a commercial claims team and work closely with the board of Directors.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the Claims Team with the aim of providing a first class claims service on behalf of insurers and/or clients.
• Develop individual team members and the performance of the team itself to their/its full potential.
• Overall management of claims team in line with HR and operational policies and procedures.
• Provide technical and managerial support suitable for team members at all levels (ranging from those new to the industry to those with several years’ experience).
• Manage and coach a team of Claims Handlers and support the achievement of business objectives through productivity and cost efficiency management within the team.
• Contribute towards planning and prioritising activities that meet current and future business requirements.
• Provide expert skills and knowledge in all areas of claims handling and to influence, challenge and support the achievement of business strategies and plans
• Liaise effectively with other teams, department and managers and other stakeholders in representing the interests of the Claims Team.
Experience
• Significant experience gained within the commercial claims sector.
• Substantial and broad experience in the insurance industry.
• Strong track record in people management.
• Excellent communication skills.
• CII Professional Qualifications (or commitment to work towards) desirable.
