We are assisting a leading energy based company with the recruitment of an experienced Operations Manager, which will be primarily based in the Witham office (although there will be some travelling to other sites).

This role will be responsible for the day to day control of up to 25 installation teams (around 100 engineers) installing wall insulation direct to the home owner. The team structure will be based on a 3 to 4 man teams working on a mixture of property types including plumbing, electrical s and enabling works on site.

The key aspects of the role will include but not be limited to the following:

•The Operations Manager role is 100% man management and the key objective is to manage a team of up to 100 installers effectively
•Improve resource utilisation, review and strengthen operating processes,
•Lead the team and provide training, establish team KPI’s, regular communication, support and mentoring
•You will also be responsible for the recruitment of (employed and sub-contractor installers)
•You will manage work schedules to forward order books across the business sector
•The role requires you to work to targets and within agreed budgets
•Work in collaboration across the Group to foster improved relationships and identify areas of growth and development
•Build capability and capacity within the teams to ensure they run smoothly and SLA’s are met
•With a hands on management style you will lead by example - be visible and attend regular site visits in Cambridge, Suffolk and other areas in the UK

Key skills required for the role are;
•Relevant skills and previous experience in managing an external work force
•Full drivers license
•Previous budget, people management experience; recruitment, training, performance management and team target setting
•Excellent communication skills
•Must be IT literate (Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Database) with good attention to detail
•Excellent customer service skills
