Our client is a leading wholesaler of automotive products, due to continued expansion they are seeking a Vendor Specialist/Buyer to add to the purchasing team.

Based out of their site in East Anglia the role will involve:

• Vendor appraisals.
• Negotiation on price, quality, timeframe and service levels with Suppliers.
• Excellence in working with spreadsheets.

Due to working extremely closely with the Sales force to identify new product ranges, you will need a highly developed commercial ability to buy goods at the right cost.

CIPS level 4 is a minimum qualification level

You will need to demonstrate at least 3 years buying and vendor management experience.

You will need to be extremely knowledgeable with operating on Microsoft Excel and with using the hidden features with the package.

The client is also seeking a passionate and hardworking team player to help drive the company forwards.

Experience within the automotive or wholesale sectors would be advantageous.
